Emotions play a vital role in the productivity of an individual in the workplace as it helps the individual identify, understand and react adequately towards various stressors in the workplace. Emotional intelligence, also known as emotional quotient (EQ) is an individual’s ability to identify, understand and manage the emotions of self and others.
