Suicide is a serious public health problem that can have long-lasting effects on individuals, families, and communities. The good news is that suicide is preventable”. Preventing suicide requires strategies at all levels of society.
Everyone can help prevent suicide by learning the warning signs and promoting prevention.
PREVENTION OF SUICIDE BEGINS WITH YOU AND I. It is everyone’s responsibility and no exception.
Suicide today is a major public health problem, with more than 700, 000 deaths each year globally.
Suicide is one intentionally taking actions that lead to one’s death.
Suicide is not a pragmatic and holistic approach to abate life’s struggle, rather creates a bigger problem for individuals, families and communities at large.
Somewhere in Africa, a man had a court case, and things were not going well in court for him, so, he thought the judge would sentence him to death. He thought of the pain and shame he would face in court, therefore he decided and die by suicide two days before the judgment; only for the judge to declare the man not guilty of the crime and order his full right to be restored to him, but he was no more.
He died by suicide and therefore was not buried properly rather his corpse was thrown into the evil forest.
Please, don’t harm yourself or someone else, everyone on earth faces one struggle at one point or the other. There is no individual on earth that’s absolutely free of struggle. Life’s struggle is not peculiar to you alone.
